Thanksgiving Turkey Leftovers Roundup
Everyone knows that once everyone is done fressing on the amazing Simple Roasted Turkey and Potatoes and the awesome Simple Stuffing, you’re left with a roasting pan with all the tiny smusher pieces of turkey, a few leftover potatoes and the absolutely gorgeous turkey carcass/bones. And don’t forget about that turkey neck that they always hide inside the turkey! The question is “What to do with Thanksgiving Turkey Leftovers”??? Don’t worry…I’m here to help!
The before…
And the after…. but look at all that AMAZING leftover stuff!!!
Let’s start with the actual Turkey Leftovers
Unless you are psychic and make a turkey that is exactly the right size for your Thanksgiving guests, then you’re going to have some leftover turkey. Here are some fabulous recipes that are designed to use the leftovers in a way that everyone will love!
Leftover Turkey Salad Sandwiches
Turkey Salad Sandwiches are an awesome way to use up your Thanksgiving turkey leftovers. They’re super simple to make and really delicious. Depending on how much Leftover Turkey Salad you pile on your buns, you can make between two and four sandwiches.
Leftover Turkey Broccoli Stir Fry
One of our family’s favorite year round dishes is Stir Fry. We take whatever we happen to have in the house, toss it in a skillet and serve it over a bed of rice. It’s insanely simple to make, especially if you use prepared sauces. We especially love the La Choy sauces, there’s a huge variety of them for whatever your mood is. As of the writing of this recipe the La Choy sauces are kosher certified and gluten free. So… right after Thanksgiving, Leftover Turkey Broccoli Stir Fry is kind of a no-brainer! You can make it with whatever vegetables you like, like zucchini, mushrooms, peppers and more. The sky is the limit and your ideas are limitless! I’d love to hear what you came up with!
Lets talk about Turkey Leftovers: Leftover Turkey Bones
Ok. First let’s talk about that sneaky turkey neck that’s always hiding inside the turkey. I made a video as a gentle reminder not to forget it inside when you roast your Thanksgiving Turkey.
You’re welcome.
Turkey Leftovers Soup
After all the Thanksgiving festivities are finished, and nearly all of the turkey has been consumed, don’t throw away the turkey bones and leftover “stuff on the bottom of the pan”. Those bones, potatoes and little turkey smushers make the absolute best soup! Turkey Leftovers Soup is almost identical to the Leftovers Pressure Cooker Chicken Soup, except I only used the leftover turkey bones with added carrots and celery. You can absolutely make the Thanksgiving Turkey Leftovers Soup exactly like the original, and I’ll add it to the notes.
And now for a bonus video
Dear Social Media Guy says that everyone already knows how to do this. I say nay nay (50 points if you can source that quote). Not everyone is as wise and handy as my Dear Father-in-Law, so I put together this reel. Let me know if you find it worthy of placement here!
Thanks for playing!
I’d love to hear what you do with your Thanksgiving leftovers! Most of the time I don’t even have time to do anything fancy with our leftovers… everyone eats them as is! Gasp!
And whatever you do with your turkey, make sure to take a…

I find that the cookware I use most is my HexClad cookware. It’s completely non-stick and cleans up incredibly easily. I know because I’ve been a little overwhelmed lately and have burned/scorched one or two (cough cough) dishes, and nothing sticks!
Seriously.
For the recipes above I used my HexClad Wok and skillet – two pieces of cookware I would have trouble doing without. I’m realizing, that the 8 quart stock pot would also be an extremely wise purchase, as I’ve been scorching things like rice… I forgot to turn down the heat!!!
